Who Needs a Steakhouse Steak Print

  • 2 loin strip steaks
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 ounces Minerva Dairy Smoked Maple Wood Butter
  • 1 small white onion, sliced
  • 1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper - for the fixin's
  • Preheat oven to 275F. Dry steaks and season with sea salt and black pepper.
  • Place steaks on a rack on top of a baking sheet and place in the oven.
  • Roast until internal temperature reaches 120F (about 45-60 minutes, for medium rare).
  • Remove and let rest 10 minutes.
  • Melt smoked maple wood butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Saute the onions and mushrooms until fragrant. Then, add remaining ingredients and stir.
  • Turn to low and let cook slow while steaks are in the oven.
  • In a frying pan/grill pan, melt smoked maple wood butter over high heat.
  • Sear both sides of steads for 1-2 minutes, spooning butter over while searing.
  • Top steaks with the onion mushroom mixture and top with compound butter.
